The Manifesto

There are people

who seek money, credentials, awards, material things

They want recognition, acceptance

to be seen.... and heard.

AND THEN THERE’S US.

The movers and shakers behind the scenes.

We work to create a better world

for the generations to come,

in hopes that they will be proud of us.

WE ARE LEADERS

who are driven by curious empathy

and are determined to live our lives, unapologetically.

WE WILL CORRECT YOU

if you choose to:

stereotype, generalize, or disrespect

and we will always act with compassion and enthusiasm.

WE BELIEVE

in the value of honesty in representation

and that we cannot thrive as communities

if we don’t:

acknowledge,

accept,

include &

celebrate

ALL of whom we have the good fortune to call our neighbors.

We will not always see eye-to-eye

& that’s the point...

To us, life is about lifting the lid,

breaking up the status quo,

reimagining and problem solving....

TOGETHER.

If some say we care or are trying to do too much,

we say, if we could we’d be coming 10x harder.

It’s just what makes us... us.

Please understand:

SubKulture was formed to address the stereotypes, underrepresentation and misrepresentation of minority populations that has been embedded in the American media for centuries.

We are dedicated to acknowledging all people in our communities and hope to create highly accessible materials for those who have been historically underserved. If this is not something that is important to you and/or the organizations you represent, please do not choose us to provide services.

We root ourselves deeply in our work and if at any time any member of our team feels uncomfortable, concerned or conflicted about ethics, we reserve the right to refuse service.
